Only the Angels Could Do This

by Los Angeles Angels

Jered WeaverOnly our very own Angels could throw a no-hitter through eight innings against the Dodgers, but still manage to lose the game 1-0.

In all my years of watching baseball, I can’t fathom of a more depressing way to lose to our northern rivals, the Los Angeles Dodgers. Over the years that I have been watching baseball, I’ve seen huge leads blown, walk-off errors, walk-off walks and other horrible ways to lose a game, but nothing hurts more than this horrible loss to the rival Dodgers.

But it happened, and it feels like the Incredible Hulk has punched me in the stomach about a million times right. It may only be a regular season, but any loss to the Dodgers is equal to be about five normal losses.

The loss is particularly frustrating since Jered Weaver and Jose Arredondo pitched brilliantly, allowing no hits and just one error. Unfortunately, Weaver’s one fielding error put Matt Kemp on first, where he eventually was able to score the Dodgers’ only run of the game.

But their mastering pitching performances weren’t enough because the offense decided not to show up for the second consecutive night day. So far in this series, the Angels have yet to score in 18 innings, despite the fact that they’ve faced Chan Ho Park and Chad Billingsley, who really don’t strike fear into too many teams.

As an Angels fan, it’s still tough to believe that the Halos actually lost a game in which they didn’t allow a hit. Unbelievable.

I’m glad you wrote this before I did… i was too depressed and angry to write this up. it may have been a little more “aggressive” than yours. ha ha ha

Ya, I totally agree! Yahoo sports was saying yesterday that the Marlins want to trade him, although he’s destroying AAA. They just don’t have room for him. We could probably get him for just a couple mid-level prospects.

Oh, and I really had a tough time writing because I’ve been so upset and don’t even no what to say and where to begin. That’s why it’s a little shorter than usual.
