		<description>Hi Scott, good to read you again. I agree, there are issues with athletic departments as well. However, in this case, a payoff is so egregious that I think it takes precedence on the ladder of transgressions.

I think the whole system needs an overhaul but that is administrative and institutional while Floyd was just an out and out cheater...</description>

		<description>It does always suck that some kid/coach who cheated ends up costing a completely unrelated set of kids and coach.  But sadly this is all par for teh course now.  I read an article about this recently and in it they asked an NBA GM if all this makes Mayo less draftable (the quote is old, of course).  His answer: &quot;If we started eliminating prospects based off of accusations that they&#039;ve taken money or gifts, there wouldn&#039;t be anyone left to draft.&quot;
Recently the NCAA published a study about how college football programs can get any kid admitted as long as he can run fast.  And with all the disgusting corruption named, USC and Notre Dame refused to release their stats to the study.  So it&#039;s not just Floyd&#039;s fault, it&#039;s the athletic department.  And it&#039;s not just USC&#039;s fault, it&#039;s the NCAA.  Screw them all!</description>
