Lakers at Oklahoma City Thunder

The Lakers head to OKC on the back end of a back-to-back, after stopping in Dallas on Wednesday. For the Lakers, the first meeting of the year with the Thunder presents what some thought at the beginning of the season would be a foreshadowing of the Western Conference Finals. But as luck would have it, the Lakers have struggled to stay consistent in 2012, holding tightly to one of bottom seeds in the conference, just a couple of games apart from being out of the playoffs altogether. The Thunder however, are exactly where experts thought they’d be, far and away the best team in the West. Led by Kevin Durant’s 27 points per game, the Thunder are one of the top teams in the NBA in scoring, but provide a solid defense with big man Serge Ibaka leading the world in blocks. It’ll be a huge test for the Lakers, who will try to go into the All-Star Break on a high note.
